Daily Attendance

Avoid Unexcused Absences and Tardies!

Unexcused absences and tardies are an ongoing problem that could lead to your student losing credits. Excessive absences or tardies could lead to a referral to the School Attendance Review Board. Please see below for the reasons for excused and unexcused absences. If your student is going to be absent or late, a parent or guardian must call the school at 891-3092 x32214 before 9:00 a.m. to report the absence or tardy.

Unexcused Absences

The following are unexcused absences or tardies:

Oversleeping
Visiting relatives
Car trouble
Parent or guardian illness
Providing child care for young children/siblings
Lack of transportation
Student's birthday
Translating for family members

Excused Absences

The following are reasons for excused absences:

Illness
Medical, dental, or counseling appointments
Court appearance
Funeral services for immediate family
Quarantine
Drug testing appointment
